IronRidge Solar Panel Roof Racking accomodate some of the longest spans in the industry, reducing the number of root attachments and lowering the total cost of installation for solar photovoltaic systems. Two different solar PV rail options combine with easy-to-use components to create a variety of durable and aesthetically pleasing constructions for both flush and tilt applications in solar photovoltaic systems. IronRidge Solar Panel Roof Racking products work with most major solar panel manufacturers.
The all-aluminum solar panel roof racking components are lightweight and easy to handle, yet engineered to handle the most difficult site and climatic challenges. In addition to manufacturing Solar PV roof mounts, IronRidge provides a complete engineering support system for solar mounting and racking including installation guides, span charts, certification letters, and on-line design software to help you every step of the way.
Key Features

Rails & Splices

The IronRidge solar PV roof mount rails come in two different styles -- the popular and best performing XRS (standard) solar PV rail and the cost-effective XRL (lightweight) solar PV rail. The XRS solar PV rail supports spans over 12 feet long while the XRL rail supports footings over 8 feet apart. Both rails are manufactured with extruded and anodized 6105-T5 aluminum which adds strength and reduces corrosion issues in solar PV module installations.
The patent-pending IronRidge internal splice is an aesthetically-pleasing and structurally more sound way of connecting rails together in solar racking systems. Because the splice occurs internally within the rail and does not take up valuable space on the attachment slot, you have more flexibility with where you place attachment locations in solar racking systems.
Attachments

IronRidge provides a number of attachment options for solar PV modules and solar mounting solutions. The first is an adjustable L-foot component. Made of extruded aluminum, these L-feet are strong enough for both residential and commercial solar PV module installations. The vertical slots make it easy to level the PV array when there are irregularities in the roof. When increased airflow or roof flashing is required, IronRidge offers two different types of standoffs. Lightweight aluminum standoffs are available for flush mount solar PV module applications, Heavy-duty, welded steel standoffs are available for tilt mount solar mounting applications.
These standoffs support common flashing products such as those from Oatey. In addition, the IronRidge standoffs are available in multiple heights. Tilt leg attachments are available for solar PV projects where installers wish to optimize power by tilting solar PV modules more directly at the sun. These extruded aluminum legs attach quickly and directly to either the XRS or XRL solar PV rails. The well thought-out and simple design enables adjustability in all three dimensions. The IronRidge tilt legs come in a variety of lengths to cover a wide range of desired tilt angles.
Clamps

IronRidge clamps provide a universal method for securing most popular solar PV modules in solar racking systems. Both the XRS and XRL solar PV rails have slots for top mounting. End clamps and mid clamps are manufactured from either 5052-H32 aluminum or extruded aluminum, depending on the clamp size. The mid clamps are uniquely designed to minimize spacing between solar PV modules and to help maximize power density.
